Well, what I did was have an x-pen, and that seem to help a lot. I put a plastic mat down so if there was a mistake/accident it would be easy to clean in addition there was a pee pad. That helped a lot my dog doesn't bark at all. So she would pee on the pad when she had to go. it was almost naturual instinct. she knew to pee/poo on the pad.
