Max just got neutered 2 weeks ago and Mia last year. I had this happen to both of them. Honestly, I put both in the tub and used my detachable shower head (with hose) to wash their butt off. You can use your hair dryer on low or air to dry the wound... but I didn't want the bacteria from their poop to get in that area and both have had no problems with infection. Good Luck!
