Leaving your dog is definately hard on you and your baby. I would suggest finding someone that you could pay to stop by your house while your gone to walk and feed the dog. My friend has a service that comes by two to three times a day and takes care of the his dog when he leaves town. He said it is the best choice because his dog is not under any additional stress from being in a strange environment. His care giver also leaves a diary of events, which is a nice peace of mind.
