Another option is to find someone in your work or in your area who has a single dog as well, and get him a play pal during the day. You can arrange it that one week they will be in your kitchen, play area and next week in the co-worker or friend's house kitchen. That way both of your dogs get a pal to spend the days with and won't be all day alone. I believe that would surely help.
