People can still be your friends without agreeing with your choices or telling you only things you want to hear. I know that my *best* friends are the ones who honestly give me their opinion from the goodness of their heart whether I want to hear it or not.

If I would choose to get defensive about their advice, I'd miss the points they were trying to make.
