Hi Paula - the thought is, if you are going to feed kibble, feed it at least 5 hours apart from the raw. But, it's a debatable point, really, bc it's like us saying we can't eat sushi bc our bodies can't digest raw fish and non-raw rice at the same time. Interesting...

But, for some dogs - it seems it is difficult for them to digest both raw and non-raw at the same time, hence the 5-hr recommendation.
