I don't think Bama meant any harm..however, when the 1st thing a newbie sees "in bold or colored font", it may come off as "Listen here" you. Almost like all caps is meant to express "yelling". Hopefully, she did not take it as such. She did mention she is very willing and understands that she may have to look at rescues becasue of her financial situation and sounds like she wants to go that route. Maybe if the reply was more like, here are your options....or you can find rescues under such and such thread...and then politiely suggest to her that being new, she may want to read over some of the rules, etc. etc. would make it a little more "warm" and welcoming.
Again..not going against anyone...just my 2cents as I don't post much on these types of things..
