Default Please help...found a flea on my baby

I found a flea on my Yorkie tonight. She is one of 3 dogs in my house. I was so shocked because I have never had a problem with this. I use Frontline but not every month. Often in the winter I can go a few months without it.
My dogs were just groomed and their hair is very short so it was easy to see. Ive never seen one before on any of my dogs and I check this dog the most because she has allergies and often has unexplained rashes and things. She has been checked often by the vet also because of her itching. He thinks she has allergies and has never found a flea.
So I was able to get the flea off with the comb and it jumped on me and then on the floor on the rug. Then I put Frontline on all the dogs except one (I only had two applicators) I checked thorougly and didnt find any more fleas on her and none on the other dogs either. The Maltese is really easy to check on because of her fair skin and now short hair.
My questions are...is it possible there is only one flea that she got from the park today. I live in a Ohio, so I would have thought they would all be dead by now. The other option is that she got it at the groomers or from my carpet, right?
Second, the flea jumped off of me on the rug in my bedroom. I tried to kill the damn thing and it was indestructible...before I could kill it, it jumped off. Will it live down there and reproduce and make the problem worse? Can it reinfest my dogs now that they have Frontline on them?
I am so upset because all three dogs sleep in my bed and are always on the furniture. Do I wait and see if I see anymore before I do drastic things like spray my rugs and furniture or bomb the house? My husband will freak out...he is not crazy about the dogs, let alone them being in our bed or on our furniture. Last question, can the fleas get on us and bite?
I cant believe this.
