Kellie .... Trish & hubby came over last night and we talked through all the details and Reese will be staying overnight in the hospital. I have heard so much info I can't seem to process it all ... but I am happy that they will keep him to make sure he is tiptop before foster Mom brings him home. I would be mortified that I couldn't take care of him properly!
That's great news. Its always best to monitor then over night in hospital and give them tons of pain meds so their comfy. They usually just sleep which is what we want so they stay calm and recover. The next day i'm sure he'll be perfectly fine to take home, maybe a little drowsy but that's ok. Make sure his foster mom has a crate set up for him or an expen. I have TONS of discharge instructions if you want them LOL i have it memorzied from repeating it everyday. PM me if you want them. I find that a lot of other places are lax in their discharge instructions and bad things can happen at home if the owners aren't informed enough.
