As far as returning her money, if you don't have that clause in your contract and even if you do and she hasn't signed it....you must return the money.....I would return it anyway and keep the pup.

As far as people not wanting pups at 4 months of age, there are plenty of people that want them then, they have all their shots and most likely are at least piddle pad trained. The up side of this is that this is the Holidays....better for the pup and you won't have to worry that the pup will be neglected, this is a busy time of the year.

As far as pricing...it depends on the region you live in and the quality of the pups.
True...I'd be wary about selling a puppy around this time of year. So many are bought as gifts for a someone (especially children) and the receiver soon realizes they don't have time for a puppy and rehomes it. So many dogs are put up for sale in the paper in the months after Christmas for this reason...or dumped at the shelter. And people are so busy during the holidays and there are so many dangers around a house for a new puppy to get into during the holidays. I would just be extra careful in who you decide to place them with during the time of the year.

Purchasing from backyard breeders, pet shops, and puppymills perpetuates the suffering of other dogs.
Educate yourself and buy from reputable breeders or rescue.
