Do you have a favorite country singer ?


Female singer, one of my favorites is Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette but also have many others
Male singer I favor the Statler Brothers Charley Pride, Marty Robbins, Randy Travis (his recent songs) and guess I have to include a distant couison Ferlin Huskey, does any one remember him? I don't think he recorded many songs.

I love gospel music, one of whom I have great respect for was Mahalia Jackson, I read her autobiography many years ago (30 years now) I was very much touched by her dedication in her singing not for money but for her Love for the Lord, many, many times she refused payment for her singing engagements, and was always ready to attend any engagement that was for a charity out of love for the cause, after reading her autobiography she became my favorite of all gospel singers, and forever will remain so.

Just curious who else enjoys country music, and who are some of your favorite singers and is there anyone in particular and why?

Not all country music is a favorite of mine but I would say I do like country music Jack didn't when we first met but now he has learned to like it after 52 years I think he has kinda got use to it
