I recently read where someone suggested that you sit in the parked car for a minute or two with your baby petting and calming him and then take him back in the house. Repeat a few times until he is calm and not afraid and then the next step is to back the car out of the driveway and pull back in. After he is used to that, ride around the block until he is OK with it. Try longer rides a little at a time.

I don't know if this will help, but I just thought I would mention it.
