Well I've seen both puppies pee in the other (now discarded) bed and they would do it fully awake intentionally. They are not at all confined to their beds at any time so she always has the ability to pee elsewhere be it on her pad or even if she was desperate on the floor! Her bed is only a few feet away from her pee pad. She does not have problems other than this- she never pees while in bed with me (she did once or twice as a wee pup but now that her bladder is full sized she can make it through the night. I think it might be a territorial thing because she did this once as a pup to my older dog's bed as well- kinda like marking it as her bed? If that's the case though I wonder if I'm doomed to wash their bed every other day for the rest of their lives????=(
