There have been many times that new members post against the 'rules' and then wonder why their thread was locked or deleted. Not everyone sees that sticky at the top before posting.
You are right, rescue is another option--
as explained in the portion of the rules I posted! It explained the average cost of a Yorkie from a breeder and that if you have less than that to try rescue. What I quoted was basically the same thing that you just stated, only worded differently...
She was directed to the rescue section--hopefully her search is progressing towards finding her furbaby.
