I struggled with this myself (well, except Abigail does not have thick hair), until I just got tired of never seeing her eyes. So, I snipped the hair around her eyes. She still has enough for a top knot when I want it. It just grows so fast there, and the tips of her ears! Why won't it grow fast where I want it too?!
