There are many advantages to neutering a dog. By neutering, you decrease the chances of testicular cancer AND prostate cancer. Unneutered males are at a much higher risk to be aggressive and to mark in the house. A male can smell a female in heat up to a mile away and some will do anything to get to one. He could easily escape from your house and get hit by a car in trying to reach a female. Many males will also stop eating if a female is in heat. Dogs have no sexual ego like humans do - they only have sex because their instinct tells them to proliferate. Would you rather have the ability to have sex and NEVER be able to fullfill that urge OR would you rather not feel the urge at all? I promise you he won't miss his testicles one bit and will be much happier and healthier as a result of neutering
