Well, breeding to make money is not the right reason to breed. If you're interested in breeding one day I suggest you find a mentor. There are some great show breeders right here on YT that might be willing to point you in the right direction. There is so much that is involved in breeding. Both male and female need to be evaluated by a judge or someone very knowledgeable of the breed to make sure they meet the standard and are worthy of passing on their genes and genetic health testing must be done (as well as looking back into the dogs' pedigrees) to make sure no defects are being passed on such as liver shunt, luxating patella, heart problems, etc. Studding to females outside your home also requires testing for STDs in both the male and female each time. Breeding (the right way) requires a knowledge of genetic and experience with welping and a raising a litter..also experience with the breed. It is very expensive to breed the right way - most breeders don't make much, if anything at all. Yorkies are being so overbred right now and many are so far from standard that they don't even look like yorkies anymore. Only the best of the best should be bred
