Mylo is a cutie!! Yes, try shaving them in a V shave to get the extra weight off. I shaved and taped my Kod'as ears at gosh, what was it? prob 15-16 weeks maybe and it still worked for him then. Good luck!
BTW if you do decide to tape, make sure to give the ears massages
