We have one for my Dad where we programmed my cell phone, if no answer my house, then my sisters and then my brother. My dad just pushes a button on a necklace he wears around his neck if he needs help and i get a prerecorded message (my brother recorded it) saying this is Dad an I am having an emergency. It allows like 20 seconds for us to talk to him. We opted for this instead of one that alerts 911 since my Dad is 88 and may push the button by mistake(which he does alot) and the police would come for nothing. There is no monthly fee just the cost of the unit. I think it was 160.00 at a medical supply store. I think it is called Life alert. |
