I told her she can get his body cremated at the vet but there are no vets open now so she called information and they told her what to do. Her bf is in shock also. The sight of his toys on the floor just made her sad so we put them away. She said he was acting normal before today, when she got home today was when she noticed him acting weird. He was disoriented and bit her. He never bit before so it wasn't like him. He was also wobbly. I am scared if it was liver shunt cause he and London have the same dad, but there are others that have puppies from there with the same dad and they are fine. She acts normal and has a lot of energy but I am going to get her tested anyway to be safe. Please pray that she is okay and doesn't have it. I will also test Sophia too just in case. My mom brought up a good point that maybe he was bit by a mouse. Do you guys think he could have died from that? The breeder said he had his rabies shot so she didn't take him to get that, maybe he got rabies? Idk it could have been anything. Here is the thread she posted earlier today. Thank you guys for all your suggestions and condolences. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t= 105778 |
The disorientation is definitely a symptom of Liver Shunt. I think it is a good idea to have London tested, but please don't panic. I can imagine how scared you are now for your baby, but even if they have the same Sire, it does not mean London has it as well, if Liver Shunt was indeed even the cause of death. Are they going to perform an autopsy before cremation? This might be a good idea - could give you and your friend some answers.
Please keep us updated.I send hugs to both of you,
