I know how you're feeling, the thing is you can always miss them, and there is nothing wrong with that, but, you have to realize you did the humane thing by having him put down. We had a golden retriever that was had to have put down at 18 years. She also had cancer..When we took her in to the vets and he diagnosed it, I couldn't let them put her down at that time just yet..so, we brought her back home, but, 2 weeks later, she was getting worse, and I couldn't let her suffer anymore, so, I had my husband take her back to the vet, where we had them cremate her, and we buried her urn under her favorite tree..I cried for 2 days straight, but, then I just thought, you know, she had 18 long years, and she was very well taken care of, she brought us a lot of joy, and in the end, we stood by her by letting her go to where she woulnd't have to suffer anymore..All I can tell you, is you have to let go, you can't bring him back, and he's not in pain anymore... |
