You know, I think this is exactly what you can do and then shop for the breeder with the puppies with the traits you personally like. That's kind of what I did because after seeing all the cute yorkies on here I had come up with my "DREAM" puppy and I knew it would take me a while to find her, but I did finally and she is more than I ever dreamed! She will be my baby for over 15 years I hope so I didn't mind spending the time to find her. It was so worth it!
I would recommend that you write down the looks you like and even save pictures of what you like because you will know it when you see it once you get used to looking at puppies. No breeders threw me out...in fsct they appreciated the fact that I knew what I was looking for and I had one try to change my mind because she really wanted to sell me one of hers, but I wasn't swayed and most even helped refer me to breeders they knew bred the look I was after which is how I found Ava. The good breeders don't want their babies going to someone who doesn't think they are "perfect" in their eyes. They are perfect for someone. You just have to wait for the right match.
And Hefner is my "perfect" little boy because he was my first and I will always love him just as he is because he is my little baby boy!!
