| VENDORS - We will have tables set-up for our vendors to sell all day on Saturday. Obviously you can decide for yourselves how much selling/buying you want to do vs. how much mingling! - The cost will be $50 per table (yes, the hotel charges for this), and space is limited to 25 tables, so sign-up early. The tables are 36” x 6’ each. If vendors wish to share a table, you need to coordinate that amongst yourselves and register as such. - Power strips will be available for typical electrical usage, but if you need elaborate lighting or anything like that, the hotel will charge an extra fee for such. Please let us know if you will have additional electrical requirements, and I will contact the hotel to find out your additional cost. - Jodie (LuvMySissy) will be organizing all things vending, so please PM her if you have any questions regarding vendors. If you decide you would like to be a vendor at the meet-up, PM Jodie (LuvMySissy) to ensure there is still vending room available before sending payment. Once you’ve gotten her “ok”, you can send your vending fees via PayPal to yorkietalkmeetup@yahoo.com, or you can pay via check or money order (PM me for details if you’d like to pay via check or money order). Also, please be sure to note in the “message to recipient” box that your payment is for vending, registration fees, or both if you’re paying for everything at once. - We’d like to put together a list of all vendors who will be at the meet-up ahead of time, so please write a short bio to submit at the time of registration, stating who you are and what item(s) you will be selling at the meet-up. You can include your bio in the “message to recipient” box at the time of payment.
RAFFLE & GOODIE BAGS - For some additional fun, we will hold a raffle drawing during dinner on Saturday night. As long as you’ve paid your registration fee (with or without dinner), you may participate in the raffle drawing. Raffle ticket sales will end June 1. - Raffle tickets will cost $2 each, with 1 free ticket for every 5 tickets purchased. See examples below. - Purchase 5 tickets for $10 total, get 1 ticket FREE - Purchase 10 tickets for $20 total, get 2 tickets FREE - Purchase 15 tickets for $30 total, get 3 tickets FREE - Purchase 20 tickets for $40 total, get 4 tickets FREE - ETC.
- The first 15 people to pay their “registration fee with dinner” will receive 5 FREE raffle tickets (a $10 value)! - Prizes will include gift certificates and products from some of your favorite YT vendors! - For members attending the dinner on Saturday night, you will receive a goodie bag with a variety of samples and fun things to take home with you for your furbabies and one raffle ticket (in addition to any you purchase). - For those wishing to donate items/samples/products to the goodie bags or items to raffle off during dinner, please PM Jenn (Jenn218) for details. MISCELLANEOUS - For the meet-up on Friday, we would appreciate if anyone driving would bring their x-pen with them so we can hook them together to create a large play area for the babies. Of course, if you don’t already own an x-pen, you do NOT need to buy one just for this occasion, but it would be great if we could get 1 x-pen for every 5 dogs. - The Country Club Plaza in Kansas City (www.countryclubplaza.com/) is home to over 150 shops and dozens of restaurants. The Country Club Plaza is Kansas City’s premier retail, dining, and entertainment destination. Over half of the shops are dog-friendly, so bring good walking shoes so you can take a stroll on the Plaza while you’re in Kansas City! - Be sure to pack some waste bags so you can pick up after your baby when taking them out. We want to leave the city the same way we found it - nice and clean! - Any and all extra monies gathered from this event will be donated at the conclusion of the event to a non-profit Yorkie related rescue (to be determined). - As I've run everything past Admin to make sure we're not breaking any YT rules by requiring non-refundable registration fees and putting together a meet-up like this, they have requested I make a couple things clear, and I want to make sure I do that on their behalf. I want to make it VERY clear that this meet-up is the responsibility of the meet-up committee. We are handling all aspects and are fully responsible for it - NOT YORKIETALK. Therefore, please do not send your questions regarding the meet-up to Admin or any YT Moderators, as they are not on the meet-up committee and do not have any answers for you! - Should you have any additional questions that I failed to address, please post your question here, and I will respond to you promptly. By posting your questions in the thread vs. PMing me, you will be asking the question in public for all the other people who are probably wondering the same thing! |
