I'm from Jersey and me and friends ALWAYS did 'the diner thing' - but I could never bring myself to eat the fries w/gravy - just not my thing...I never knew they were called Disco Fries. I am gonna ask my sis. She worked at a diner from a brief time, maybe she knows about that name.
