Will you please tell me where you got the information that backs up the statement you made about a website generating a lot of money for a new rescue? Sadly you are misinformed and you are completely in the dark about the purpose of a website. Saying that having a website makes you legit is the same as saying that pasting wings on your back makes you an angel.
Again, you are mistaken - Yorkie Rescue Colorado DID NOT, HAS NOT and WILL NOT ask for donations from this group. It is not allowed. We post purely to inform - not to beg. We have done this long before we had a website - inform the group of what is going on with our rescue. We do it because we are members of this group. Members of this group love Yorkies. If a person chooses to help; that is a personal choice.
Our concern and focus is, and always will be, to help Yorkies in need. In Reese's case we do not have the funds to help him. We posted so that those also concerned about the welfare of less fortunate Yorkies could help if they saw fit to do so. Helping makes many people feel good. How about you?
I do not apologize for posting about our shortcomings, our lack of funds - our inability to offer immediate help for this Yorkie and I'm sorry if you find it strange. Would it have been more acceptable to turn a blind eye on this dog because we couldn't afford to take him?
My heart and my thanks to everyone who has offered suggestions, offered to help in any way. YOU are the people who I post too. YOU are the people who reach out to stroke the matted face of a friendless Yorkie. YOU are the people who save them. Yorkie Rescue Colorado is merely the conduit for your kindness.
I will be posting an update on Reese later today. I am expecting and hoping to have some good news for all of us!!!!!
