Sophie Sophie has already had THREE operations... and was just at the Vet's last week. I contacted the Vet today and she said that Sophie has an ear infection and an eye infection and there is a letter in the mail to us to tell how to treat and eventually get her to our Vet. I have all her medical records (and some medications) and it would make you sick to see how much our dear friend spent to take care of this dog. Sadly, the last few months I think the dog and she were so depressed...now I need to bring her back to a happier life.. My little 9 pound mutt wants to play with her, but she isn't interested.. I was able to get help about how to take care of her and tomorrow she will get a bath. It's just her being in a depressing atmosphere, not being walked and allowed to sleep all day and night is giving us a challenge.. If we put her on a puppy pad in the puppy pen we have for our other dog she does go.. but since she can't climb stairs we have to carry her down.. I''d like to bring out the real Sophie..and I know it will take time.. she is curious and has been walking around the house.. Please don't thank for for rescuing her...I want her to have a good life.. and if it doesn't work out with us...to pick a proper "forever" home for her. Our friend knows we are animal lovers and have at present four parrots and our little Chuahua/Jack Russel Miix also adopted from a sad situation.. so I know that she take comfort in knowing her "baby" is in good hands..
