It's fine as long as your dog doesn't have medical issues (like liver disease) in which a high-protein diet is not recommended. These premium grain-free foods have very high quality sources of protein. Also, dogs are carnivores and were created to eat high protein diets. If you're sticking with commercial food, I recommend canned over kibble though since canned has moisture in it that I think is important.
