Personally, I think some trainers have a bias towards the larger breed dogs. They do catch on a bit quicker, but I would not say they are any easier to train. My puppy school gladly accepted Gracie, but I really felt during the class that the instructors preferred the larger breeds, at least it was the larger breeds that they always selected for demos. My Gracie caught on really quick, and even picked up on things I did not realize I was teaching her. It is all about repetition and consistency. I'm a firm believer that you get out of training what you put into it, no matter the breed or size of dog.
