Well in a way he did die due to some crazy stunt. They said his last stunt when he got hurt he received a blood transfusion and ended up contracting Hep C. That is technically what got him in the end but that was a byproduct of his last big stunt.
Very sad. But I guess at least he can say he lived his life on the edge and had fun.
