| I doubt they walk in a room and think.."there is my mother, sister, father". etc..but I do know they go by familiar smells, remembering people and other animals. I do find my females who have had puppies are very tolerant of all puppies, not just their own. Most act like all pups are theirs and they want to care for them.
I have had litters I have combined at 6 weeks to play and a mother does not single out hers if they try to nurse. She will treat them all like hers. |
