Well it IS natural instinct for a dog to go after small game. And as mentioned earlier I would much rather Oscar eat a rabbit than eat a Mickey D's Cheeseburger! Heck, Oscar chased a deer out of our yard once...if he had caught it I don't know what he would have done with it...LOL. A month or so ago, Rhonda's Bailey was mentioned on a thread as quite the rabbit hunter...and it is good for them. I have heard that rabbits can carry parasites but are safe after the weather has turned cold??? Here is Bailey with his "prize"...she saw him in the yard and snapped the photo thru the window...He was proud of himself! But I think in this case, he took the "prize" away from his brother...Toto the cat! |
