I've read through this whole thread and my head is spinning. One thing that stuck in my mind though was about kids + allergies + pets.
I am allergic to pretty much everything. One of the only things I'm not allergic to is dogs. It's because my body built up its own immunity to them as I have been living with dogs in the house all my life.
So yeah, between medications, cleaning and the human body's own strange way of working there's no reason to stress in this day and age.
