 Patience works
My boys are now 16 and 17 months old and while Garett is a little slower, Bengie picks up fast. He can sit, high ten, give me five, dance, rollover, lay down, fetch, come when called, get leash, crawl on your belly like a reptile, and his best is "bang bang" you are dead. They are so cute doing tricks, Benni and I are now working on jumping through hoops and he is starting to pick those up too. And we do a slower version of "Patty Cake" trying to get ben to pick up the tempo, but he does not seem to excited by it. To teach your dog to come, hook your dog to a long lead and keep him attached to your belt loop (inside or out) and call your dog, every time he comes, he is to get praise and/or treat. If he does not come, you simply reel him in to you. Do this a few hundred times LOL and he will learn to come when you call him. Good luck and good training! |
