I hope Lacey is feeling better soon....I am just a dog mom and not a vet so I am uncomfortable telling you what to do; however, when i started Vivi on this supplement she was recovering from a serious bout of kidney stones as a result of her liver shunt and not in very good shape. Due to the fact that Vivi's situation is serious and inoperable I have taken the "I will try anything in moderation " approach. I was told that the worst thing this herbal supplement could do would be to cause her to have a stomach ache if given too much so I have been giving her more than the recommended dosage for her weight and she has tolerated it well. My vet has supported my holistic efforts and is behind me on the success of this. He was so happy that her numbers were better for both liver and kidney function.
