((((Luckylady)))) I am sorry to hear about Alfie and can totally relate to your pain. We had to let our Dexter go July 10, 2006 and I too held him during the process, it was the hardest thing I have ever done but I had to do it.
Alfie knows how much you love him and he will never forget what a wonderful mom you are. He is missing you too, but he is running and playing with Dexter and many others and is young and healthy again.
Take care of you and know that he is blessed to call you mom!
