When Sammy was a baby, I remember looking at him and saying "Oh my goodness, are you 1 yet?". He was so full of energy and would wake me up at 4 or 5 a.m. and for a non morning person, that was torture. It lasted a while, but when he got to be 6 or 7 months old he settled down. By the time he was 1, I was able to say "It's not time to get up yet" and he'd go back to sleep. Now, Sammy is 13 1/2 years old and I"d do anything for him to pounce on me with that puppy energy. It's not easy, but it'll be better before you know it. Good luck.

Well the new thing is to wake up two hours early and want to play!!! I'm so tired I dont know what to do. And last night, she wouldnt calm down so I let her sleep w me so I didnt have to hear her cry in her cage. I put her in there in the middle of the night and she just cried and cried and cried until I couldnt take it anymore and took her out. I know i'm not supposed to do that...but I was comatose! She then decided to get up for the day at 4:30 AM. I love her but I dont know what to do. How do I calm her down and make her sleep like she used to??
