Just a thought. Maybe it would be nice to have a photo of Maggie enlarged to fit into a table frame and then buy a nice sented candle that you can place next to it, maybe on an end table or fireplace mantle for example. When you think of Maggie, or when she is brought up in conversation, light the candle for Maggie in memory of her and I feel you and your family will find this a comforting measure when you are heart hurting over your loss.
The firelight would reflect beautifully off the glass in the frame, especially in the evenings, giving the photo an almost surrealist view and lending beauty to your furbaby who was so beautiful to you in life, and now in your hearts and through her spirit.
I too believe that our beloved pets go to heaven. I can't even begin to imagine a God that created all of the creatures of the universe not understanding and knowing our need to be rejoined with all that we have loved throughout our lifetimes. Many believe that only humans because of our soul find our way to heaven in the end. Everyone has their own beliefs and I support everyone and their belief in God, or their choice not to believe. However, for me, I find immense comfort in believing that I will one day again see all that I loved here in my lifetime and spend my eternity wrapped in the warmth of their love.
