I'd say keep the crate in the bedroom with you because usually in the middle of the night, they will cry to go potty. They will go potty more frequently at every 3-4 hours I think. If he's in the other room, you won't be able to hear him. They are just like babies... you have to be prepared. I had to go through that puppy phase 3 times! They will wake you at the weirdest hours to go pee pee lol. You know what... it's all WORTH it though!
