I think as long as the person is doing their best to find the perfect home for their pet they have to rehome, that they are doing ALL they can do, and doing a very loving thing by rehoming.
People that drop their pets off at shelters I have no compassion for. But rehoming is a VERY different thing and a very traumatic thing to have to go through I am sure. It isn't really anyone's place to judge
