There is a vitamin analysis that can be done at some of the major universities that will tell you if your dog is high or low on any vitamins. Little specks that look like dirt around the genitals could be from low zinc, but you would need a vitamin analysis to know for sure....I believe MSU does it, but there may be others...I do not recommend supplementing zinc without vet's approval though.
