For the first few months we used a pack and play like you buy for an infant
and this was plenty of room for them ... then we graduated them to the kitchen , so they know its kitchen time when we work. I was also concerned about the chewing ... but they do fine ... they have a yorkie doormat which they have worked over pretty good though...
