 Mine's a shredder too!
Alley loves to tear up his potty pads! They are also in the holders. He starts in one corner and rips it with his claws. After that, it's history for the potty pad. I'm sure he does it out of boredom and why I don't know, because he's got more toys than any puppy I have ever known! I am trying to break him of this too and it is hard since he only does it when I'm at work. I don't see where it does any good to scold him when I come in because he doesn't understand why I'm so mad. So, when I come in from work and the potty pad is shredded, I don't acknowledge him until after the pieces are picked up and the pad has been changed. Then, I talk to him. I think he gets it because he's so happy to see me and play with me as soon as I get in the door when he's been a good boy and I don't have to change the pad first!
