I was with my friend when she had it done I could not see a difference at that time, just a little redness and swelling. They used a little anesthetic cream prior and ice packs after.

It is somewhat cumulative so the longer you have it done the longer it last

I don't know about Botox for pain but I do have a friend who's son had a stroke in-utero and they gave him botox injections when he was a child and now he's in college so it's been used for quite a few different reasons
