Funny you should ask... My brother-in-law wanted a big dog so he and my sister adopted what they thought was a lab from the pound. Little thing had something else mixed in with her "Lab" that only let her grow to be about the size of a tall schnauzer - looks like a lab but a lot smaller. So, my sister finally gave in and let him get a Great Dane, Otis! He's the most humongous lap dog I've ever seen! They dearly love all their pups, two adopted from the pound and then the huge Otis! I personally prefer the smaller breeds but there ARE some out there that look for the large ones. Just like some of us looked for a larger Yorkie.... all in your preference. Speaking of which, Tatum went to the vet this weekend for shots and weighs 5 pounds now (at 18 months old). She's got a petite stature (height) and has turned out just the way I want but I agree, if she would have been 10 pounds, I couldn't have loved her more!
