I think what you're seeing on Max is still his puppy coat, from what I saw of his last pictures, looks very silk.

Really? Darn, I wish I had gotten a picture of her when I was there. I know he looks like he's silky but that only lasts about 10 minutes after his bath! After that it's dull and sticking straight out like he put his paw in the light socket! We call him our "Wild Child". I tried that Emu oil and it helped Mia's hair but didn't really do that much for Max's.
