Aww....it may take some time but they will be the best of friends. My cat Simba and Mindy took only a few days to mesh but when Bear came along Simba stayed far away for at least 3 weeks and then suddenly he started to want to play again. Now he gets attacked by both Mindy and Bear.
I keep Simba's food on a stool high enough that the pups can't get at it. Works great!
