I have people tell me that they would love to buy a puppy for their kids and tell me what they can spend then in the SAME sentence they say the cant provide food but they want to make their childs christmas a happy one ??? (HELLLO) BUY FOOD not another MOUTH!!!

Oh no, I don't answer those people. That IS ridiculous!!!
It has to be extenuating circumstances...and of course I want to make sure that if someone buys a puppy from me...that they will be able to AFFORD the food, vet bills, and anything else the pup will need. SOMETIMES asking to bring the price down makes me doubt they can afford one in the first place. HOWEVER, there are people out there would be willing to go to the ends of the earth for their furbabies...even if they don't have a lot of extra money to spend...and those are the people I would be willing to deal with. It also helps if they have other yorkies (preferably that they've had more than a year) so that I know they won't just dispose of the puppy when they get tired of it or can't afford it. I also have something in my contract that if they EVER decide to sell the dog, it MUST be returned to me and I will buy him/her back for a reasonable price.
