Girls Pat you are so right- the size is the biggest problem that I have found with the old Chelsea Nimar. They are so bloody little. You are lucky to get male or female who weighs 4 pounds. You have to breed how many to get a female and then hope she has some size to her
Little Rowdy who I use for breeding makes 4 pounds on a good day- after eating a feast and with no exercise. It is a struggle to keep him at 4 pounds.
He will be 5 years this fall and has the Chelsea Nimar on the top half of his dam. With some of what I have seen in the ring I am considering growing his coat out and trying him at some international shows next spring. His coat grows like a weed. Getting his topknot and whiskers will be the problem.
This is who I bred my Trudy with. Trudy is a mommy girl and does not do well with any kind of change. |
