Well, here's what we just went through. On October 27th our Keeshond died suddenly. This is the first dog I've ever lost and it broke my heart. I would've gone the next day to find a pup but hubby wanted to wait till Christmas-ish (about 2 months). However, I found a great deal on a wonderful Yorkie pup from a FANTASTIC breeder, who ended up coming home November 19th.

Then, last Friday, we took our Sharpei to the vet because her latest episode of FSF (sharpei fever) seemed to be lasting a while. Test results came back - her kidneys were finished, basically we were told to put her down. We did.

Right now I probably wouldn't take a free puppy from the top Yorkie in the world. I'm just too raw, and we've agreed that it will be a long while before we get a 2nd dog.

Basically, go with what you feel. But until the day I die, I will credit getting SoCo from saving from a mental institution Focusing on him for the last few days has definitely helped both my hubby and I from going off the deep end.

Hope that helps, and I'm truly sorry that Sherlock will be going to the bridge.

Tara ((((hugs))))
