Your precious new puppy is going through a lot of changes. I'd put a ticking clock and a snuggly little stuffed animal in the crate with him. You are his family now that he has been taken away from his mother, littermates, and the humans who cared for him every single day of his little life. I know a lot of people do sleep with them, but I for one would NEVER get any sleep worrying all night. Also, you want him to get used to the crate and have him feel like it is his own little haven, his "safe place". Give him a little piece of a treat when you put him in there and tell him what a good boy he is. Have him associate it with positive feelings. In regard to biting, and I'm sure tons of energy.....WELCOME TO THE YORKIE PUPPY WORLD!!! They are crazy little buggers for the first year atleast. You'll have to work on the biting, but it is a normal puppy thing. HAVE TONS OF FUN!!!! P.S. Don't hesitate to ask any questions here on YT, you are sure to get answers. Also, you'll have to post puppy pictures for us to see !
